About the Great North Run 

The Great North Run is the largest half marathon in the world, taking place annually in North East England each September. Participants run between Newcastle upon Tyne and South Shields. The run was devised by former Olympic 10,000m bronze medallist and BBC Sport commentator Brendan Foster.

By raising funds for the British Thyroid Foundation you will be helping to support people of all ages with a thyroid disorder.

How to apply for the Great North Run 

Sign up below to register for a place. We ask our fundraisers to pay a £25 registration fee and have a minimum sponsorship target of £250. Once you have registered we will send you a registration form asking for your details and if you would like a BTF T-shirt to wear on the day!
