Psychological wellbeing

Anxiety, depression, brain fog and mood swings are just some of the psychological symptoms that thyroid conditions can cause.

And yet, they are often 'invisible' symptoms that those around us can struggle to understand. Not only can this make us feel isolated, but it can also make us worry about why we are feeling the way we are.

Whilst these symptoms should improve once the thyroid condition is well managed, it can sometimes take a while.

We have worked with chartered psychologist, Dr Sue Jackson, to help you better understand the psychological symptoms of thyroid disorders and to provide you with tips for self-care and sources of more support.
