Vicky said I chose to support the British Thyroid Foundation because when I was coming to terms with my diagnosis of Graves’ disease, I had no understanding of what even a thyroid was, let alone how it can impact your life.

The work that the BTF do is amazing as they provide so much help for people living with thyroid conditions. To be able to bring awareness and raise money for the work and resources that they provide has been a brilliant experience.

Before this year, I had never run outside for longer than 10 minutes, so to be able to run a half-marathon whilst raising money for BTF has been an experience I’ll never forget! I can’t thank the team at BTF enough for their support in my fundraising, my training and just before race-day; they supported me every step of the way!”

Vicky raised £1,269 for the BTF
