Local support groups

Due to government guidance on social distancing, all our local groups are unfortunately cancelled until further notice.

In the absence of face-to-face meetings, we are holding regular 'Meet the Thyroid Experts' webinars. These free of charge sessions provide the opportunity to hear from medical experts, as well as ask your questions. Details of future webinars will be posted on our home page.

Our friendly local group meetings take place in communities throughout the UK. Set up and organised by thyroid patients, they provide reliable health information and can be a valuable source of support and friendship. They also encourage social interaction, and have often been described as a 'lifeline' to people who may be feeling isolated and bewildered by thyroid disease. Professional speakers are regularly invited to provide information and answer questions.

If there isn't already a BTF support group in your community why not start your own group? Find out more about what is involved or call us on 01423 810093 for a chat.

If you are unable to go along to one of the local group meetings but you would like to speak to someone about managing your thyroid disorder, one of our telephone contacts would be happy to speak to you.

We rely on donations to fund our work supporting and informing people living with thyroid disorders. Please consider making a donation or becoming a member
