In June 2023, I was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer, having discovered a lump in my neck six months earlier.  My treatment has gone well. I decided to take part in the Saucony London 10k Run to help me improve my energy levels and fitness, as well as raise money for a good cause.

Training at times was a struggle, however, I overcame the challenges I faced. Race day was a great day; the sun was out, and I was supported by my family and friends, cheering me on along with the crowd lining the street. I have even booked another run next year!
