When Beth was diagnosed with thyroid cancer at the age of 28, she was told she was ‘lucky’ to have a ‘good cancer.’ Whilst pleased to learn the prognosis was good, it did not make the experience less scary for her.

Beth found our resources acknowledged her concerns and helped her along her journey. To celebrate one year post thyroid cancer diagnosis, Beth held a ‘Have a Good Brew’ tea party to raise awareness.

She said: It's so important we continue to raise awareness of thyroid health and all its shapes, forms, and complications; even more so given the rising prevalence of thyroid cancer among younger people. It's one powerful little butterfly muscle!

Beth raised £352 for the BTF.
