My reason for running the London Landmarks Half was to prove to myself how far I had come. Having lived with symptoms undiagnosed for years, then getting a diagnosis but no real support, learning about hypothyroidism and the effect it has on the body throughout various stages of life got me to the start line.

This is also the reason I chose to fundraise for BTF, so all those living with thyroid disease can have access to information to help build a better life. Running with hypothyroidism isn't easy, and I learnt a lot about my body's limits along the way, but with the right support and advice, I did it, in my target time of 2 hours and 30 minutes.
