Rebecca’s mum, Tina, sadly lost her life in a thyroid storm shortly after being diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. Rebecca’s friends and family organised a 10k in Tina’s memory.

Rebecca (pictured left above) said: Before my mum's illness, I had never heard of anything like this. My mum was strong and brave and left behind a daughter determined to help others in any way possible.

In such a short time, the BTF has quickly grown to be very important to me and will now always hold a special place in my heart.

By doing the 10k we wanted to support others and raise awareness of thyroid disease.

Rebecca and her family raised £1545 for our work.
