When his wife, Anna, was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, Steve set himself one of the hardest challenges he could
imagine: Giving up alcohol for the whole of 2022. Steve explained: When Anna first became aware of a lump in her
throat, we asked ourselves ‘What does a thyroid even do?’ We came across the BTF and were able to find more information and
support. Following surgery for thyroid cancer, Anna wanted people to be more aware of the thyroid as we’re always told
to check our bodies for many things but the thyroid is never mentioned.
