Speakers at our 'TED: More than meets the eye’ webinar were consultant ophthalmic and oculoplastic surgeons, Miss Rachna Murthy and Mr Jonathan Roos who spoke about the assessment and treatment of TED, new drugs on the horizon and what matters for patients. The session was chaired by endocrinologist, Prof Simon Pearce and included a Q&A session which addressed a wide range of topics including patients' concerns about the aesthetic and psychological aspects of TED.
In July 2020 we were delighted to hold our first online webinar on thyroid surgery. Consultant ENT, thyroid, head and neck surgeon, BAETS President and BTF Trustee Mr Jeremy Davis, kindly presented a talk and answered patient questions. This was an extremely informative session with Jeremy covering a wide range of topics including when thyroid surgery might be appropriate, potential complications and recovery.

We welcomed over 90 delegates to our Patient Information Day in London on Saturday 8 February 2020. Guests came to listen to our panel of expert speakers, comprising clinicians, scientists and patient representatives, most of whom had been involved in the development of the NICE guideline on assessment and management of thyroid disease.
