Get involved Fundraise for us Stride for Thyroid 2025 October was ‘Stride for Thyroid’ month. People joined us from south-west England up to north-East Scotland to raise awareness of thyroid conditions. Thank you to our amazing ‘Striders’ who stepped out to put thyroid conditions on the map. Here are some of them out and about. Iris & family Iris and her family’s Stride involved walking to an Iron Age camp, finding the Lost Pond, and even having a picnic in the drizzle. Iris went the extra mile and gave a talk to her year 3 classmates about Congenital hypothyroidism. Well done, Iris! Iris and her family raised £549. Eva Eva chose to do her Stride for Thyroid around Lake Vyrnwy. She said: This cause means so much to me, as the BTF were there to support me when I was diagnosedwith Graves’ disease. I really wanted to give back to the charity that had helped me so much, so that they can continue their work and help many others like me. Eva raised £315 for the BTF. Kayla & Liam Kayla and her friend Liam walked up Snowdon for their Stride. Kayla was diagnosed with Graves' disease when she was 14, and then her thyroid was removed at 21. Kayla & Liam raised £492 for the BTF. Patty Patty said: I enjoyed walking in the Stride for Thyroid this October because I was recently diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer, and while waiting for results and understanding the next steps, it helped me do something positive for others and myself. Patty raised £520 for the BTF Ruby & Lea-anne Lea-anne said: I knew I wanted to not only help raise money but also to spread awareness, as my daughter has Graves' disease, and despite the majority of the family having mobility issues, in a way, this made it better because it felt we were really was doing something difficult to achieve it. Ruby & Lea-anne raised £185.00 walking with family & friends. Team BTF Team BTF also took on the Stride!
